Biker on Board
DiBlasi Mariner folding motorbike
January 16, 2004
When traveling to various destinations in their boats, most cruisers find ways to outfit their vessels with the conveniences of home. The one thing many lack, however, is reliable ground transportation.
DiBlasi offers a 61-pound folding motorbike that is small enough to fit on board and, when unfolded, can carry up to a 320-pound (or 6 1/2-foot) rider. It has a maximum speed of 30 mph and is legal on all public roads, with the exception of freeways. The bike runs on gasoline and two-cycle oil mixed at a 50:1 ratio and has a 3/4-gallon fuel capacity. It gets 100 mpg on average.
The silver bike has headlights, taillights and brake lights and front and rear brakes. Adult riders do not need a special license to drive the Mariner.
Price is $1,995.
